韩婕珺领衔SPRS研究论文发表,花皙蔻牡丹科研再添新成果!
Recently, during a live broadcast, a couple from Peking University, Xiaosu and DaV (Xiaosu - Han Jiejun, manager of Florasis, and DaV - Gong Tiangui, the founder of Florasis), mentioned by chance that Florasis had published a research paper on SPS.
Reporters tracked down and discovered that the SPSR paper mentioned in the live broadcast refers to "Related Research on a New Type of Peony Super A Microcaps That Can Alleviate UVB-Induced Skin Damage In Vitro and In Vivo," which was published on February 20, 2025 in the authoritative journal "Photochemistry and Photobiology," led by Han Jiejun.
The core content of this study is the research on a new type of microcapsule complex SPSR (Spherulites Peony Superior Retin) for relieving UVB-induced skin damage in vitro and in vivo. The results showed that SPSR showed potential in relieving UVB-induced skin damage and antiaging through its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and promoting DNA damage repair. The literature showed the potential application value of SPSR in the field of skin care through detailed experimental design data analysis; and provided scientific basis for the application of SPSR as a multi-functional skin care ingredient!
Focusing on scientific research, a major achievement is released
Led by Xiaosu and the big V, Florasis has placed research and innovation at the core of its brand development, committed to providing safe, high-quality, and efficient skincare solutions for Eastern skin. This in-depth study ofPSR is a powerful testament to Florasis' continuous exploration on the road of scientific research.
As an important organ of the human body, the skin is constantly facing challenges the external environment, among which UVB radiation is one of the key factors causing skin aging. UVB radiation can cause DNA damage, oxidative stress, and inflammatory reactions, leading skin aging, hyperpigmentation, and even skin cancer, severely affecting people's skin health and appearance.
Although there are numerous skincare products on the market to address these issues, truly effective technologies and ingredients that can fundamentally solve the UVB-induced skin damage are still in need of further exploration. Against this backdrop, Florasis and Peking University couple's team have their sights set on SPSR. SPSR, composed of peony seed oil, epigallocatechin gallate (EGC), and hydroxystilbene retinyl palmitate (HPR), this unique microcapsule complex has the potential to improve skin problems in multiple dimensions bringing new hope for overcoming the UVB challenge.
Multi-dimensional research, SPSR scientific exploration by Florasis
The research team adopted a multi-dimensional research method, and in the in vitro, utilized HaCaT cells (human immortalized keratinocytes) and HSF cells (human fibroblasts) to evaluate SPSR from multiple key indicators. precise determination of the effects of SPSR on cell viability, ROS levels, DNA damage repair, inflammation factors and the expression of proteins related to the extracellular matrix (EC), its mechanism of action was revealed from the microscopic level.
In terms of cell vitality, the research team found that SPSR could significantly enhance the vitality of cells damaged by UVB, restoring normal metabolic levels. For ROS levels, SPSR also exhibited powerful scavenging capabilities, effectively reducing the large amount of harmful reactive oxygen species induced by UVB and mit the damage caused by oxidative stress to cells. In terms of DNA damage repair, SPSR could significantly reduce the formation of cyclobutane pyrimidine dimersCPDs) induced by UVB, and through comet experiments, it was confirmed that it could effectively reduce DNA breaks, providing a solid guarantee for the normal metabolism and repair cells. In terms of inflammation factor regulation, SPSR could reduce the gene expression of the inflammatory factors TNF-α and IL-1α, inhibit the inflammatory response, restore the skin to a calm and healthy state. In terms of the expression of extracellular matrix-related proteins, SPSR could upregulate the expression of ECMrelated proteins (such as FN1, COL1A1, and COL3A1), enhance the supporting structure of the skin, and at the same time reduce the of matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1), prevent excessive degradation of collagen, and thus effectively delay the aging process of the skin.
Meanwhile, the research team also launched a double-blind, randomized, split-face clinical trial in vivo. The researchers provided cosmetics containing 0.% SPSR to 30 Chinese female volunteers and conducted a precise assessment of their skin elasticity, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), eryma, and red area. The clinical trial results showed that cosmetics containing SPSR could significantly improve skin elasticity, reduce TEWL value, relieve erythema symptoms and shrink the red area, giving the skin new vitality.
Deep empowerment of scientific research and academics, dual-engine driving the new paradigm of domestic cosmetics
From the beginning of the research to the achievement of results, and then to the publication of the paper, Peking University couples and their have made great efforts. It is understood that Han Jiejun (Xiao Su), as the chief R&D officer of the Flower Snow brand, has an outstanding academic. She has built a profound theoretical system of biological science with the composite education of Peking University master and Fudan University doctor as the foundation, and has been deeply involved the Chinese Heze Peony Research Institute as a senior researcher, continuously exploring the modern scientific research value of traditional plants. It is worth noting that the 5 high-value papers published as the first author in authoritative journals not only provide a theoretical support for the brand's anti-aging technology research and development, but also inject a continuous scientific power for innovation the industrial-academic-research transformation mechanism. On her personal honor list, titles such as "China Cosmetics Industry Master Award Outstanding Engineer" and "Sullivan China Newumption Influence Figure 2024" prove her influence in the industry.
Looking at the career trajectory of Gong Tian Gui, the founder of Flower, is also excellent. From academic elites to business leaders, this former municipal liberal arts champion, with the foundation of Peking University, started his career and completed the full-linkching from market insights to supply chain management during his ten-year tenure as a senior executive at Procter & Gamble. In 2011, the domestic brand Snow, under his strategic planning, has developed into a retail matrix with more than ten thousand offline counters, and at the same time, it has achieved explosive growth in online channels represented by TikTok. In 2024, Gong Tian Gui was honored as the "Hurun China Beauty Youth Entrepreneur", which not only affirms "Ten Thousand Stores Plan" business miracle, but also highly recognizes his forward-looking layout of the brand's digital growth paradigm.
Filling the gaps in scientific research and driving the industry to achieve a qualitative leap
The publication of this paper has multiple important implications for the field. Through detailed experimental designs and data analysis, the paper showcases the potential application value of SPSR in the skincare industry. It not only fills some of the gaps in UVB protection and skin repair but also greatly enhances the status of Florasis in the cosmetics industry. It provides practical methodological guidance for the industry on a practical level.
Despite the remarkable achievements, there is no high-profile promotion, but a low-key presentation. This not only reflects the attitude of the Peking University couple and their team, who are dedicated to scientific research and seek truth from facts, but is also in line with Florasis' emphasis on product quality and scientific research connotation.
It believed that with the application of SPSR achievements and the continuous deep cultivation of peony scientific research by Florasis, it will not only bring more high-quality skincare to consumers but will also lead the domestic cosmetics industry to achieve a qualitative leap. This will encourage more people to devote themselves to scientific research and innovation, and promote the industry to develop higher quality and more scientific content! Add luster to the Chinese bloom on the world's cosmetics stage!
